25 wheelchairs presented to people with disabilities in Tan Ky
(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of 12 July, the Tan Ky District People’s Committee and the Nghe An provincial Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans organised a ceremony to present 25 wheelchairs to people with disabilities in the district.
At present, Tan Ky district has nearly 300 people with disabilities who need to use wheelchairs to support their daily activities. In recent years, in addition to support from the Nghe An provincial Association of People with Disabilities and Orphans and mobilisation by levels, sectors and social organisations, Tan Ky district has presented 150 wheelchairs to people with disabilities in difficult circumstances.

The 25 wheelchairs presented this time are worth a total of 75 million VND, donated by the American humanitarian wheelchair mission organisation The Free Wheelchair Mision and the “Give Back Childhood” organisation in Da Nang.
Those benefiting are wounded and sick soldiers, people affected by the chemical Dioxin, people with meritorious service to the revolution who have disabilities, and other cases of disability in society./.
