The “Proud CSO” festival is a special activity of Vietnamese social development organisations (collectively known as CSOs), expected to be held annually so that organisations can meet, connect and share their useful activities, thereby promoting more strongly their contributions to the country’s overall development.
Working in almost every area of life, Vietnamese non-governmental organisations, mass organisations, socio-professional organisations, community organisations, interest groups and volunteer groups have helped bring about positive changes in the lives of disadvantaged people, working together with the state to address major issues such as the environment, culture, human rights and social justice. The “Proud CSO 2014” festival is also an opportunity for all members of the CSO community, as well as everyone in society, to better understand the humanitarian meaning of our organisations’ work.
The “Proud CSO” 2014 festival will be held on 29/11/2014 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with a rich and diverse range of activities designed and run by the participating organisations.
We invite all non-governmental organisations, mass organisations, socio-professional organisations, community organisations, volunteer groups, interest groups and other organisations that share the desire to contribute to the development of society and the country to join the “Proud CSO” festival by registering via the link http://bit.ly/tuhaocso. The event coordination team in each region will contact you to prepare for the festival together.
Respectfully,
Nguyen Hong Oanh
Director of the Center for Research and Action for Inclusive Development (IDEA)
