Doll’s houses designed to raise money for children with disabilities

Famous British architects have come together to design 20 unique doll’s houses, to be auctioned to raise money for charity.

Children are at the heart of twenty new designs by some of the UK’s leading architects. The doll’s house project was initiated by Cathedral, a UK property redevelopment firm. They invited famous architects such as Zaha Hadid, David Adjaye and Alford Hall Monaghan Morris… to create doll’s houses by shrinking their own signature architectural works to be auctioned at Bonhams in November.

According to the design brief, each architect’s doll’s house must include a feature that will make life easier and more convenient for children with disabilities. These unique toy doll’s houses recreate traditional toys once exhibited at Britain’s 21st-century art, architecture and design exhibition.

Cathedral, the UK property redevelopment firm, has pledged to send USD 160,000 (equivalent to about 3.3 billion VND) from the doll’s house project to KIDS, a British charity that helps children with disabilities. Images of the miniature architectural doll’s houses are now on the website for online bidding, but the charity auction will take place on 11 November.

Below are some images of the doll’s house designs:
