Two training courses on “Biosecure livestock farming techniques” were held, with the participation of more than 80 people with disabilities from the Thai Nguyen City Association of People with Disabilities and some veterinary officers from communes in the project area. The training aimed to move towards sustainable agricultural production, helping people with disabilities to increase their income from production while contributing to environmental protection. Households of people with disabilities taking part in the model were trained thoroughly by the centre’s technical officers in biosecure livestock farming techniques, including: designing animal housing, farming procedures, vaccination schedules, regular disinfection, and disease prevention…. After the training course, 100% of households committed to adopting the biosecure livestock farming model, helping them to reduce costs and improve the nutritional quality of their livestock, proactively prevent disease and ensure good environmental protection, and improve the effectiveness of livestock farming.
