The training course aimed to raise knowledge and build capacity for partners and organisations working for gender equality and women’s rights at the national level, on the theme of women’s leadership and economic rights (referred to as women’s economic rights) in the context of Vietnam joining the ASEAN regional economic community, focusing on three pillars: governance of natural resources; women migrant workers; and multinational corporations and gender in the value chain.

This was also an opportunity for the group of people with disabilities to speak out to break down barriers and ensure the economic rights of women with disabilities in the context of Vietnam joining the ASEAN regional economic community.
