On the afternoon of 24 October, the Association for the Protection of Disabled People and Orphans (NTT&TMC) of Vietnam and the NTT&TMC Associations of Tay Ninh province and Thua Thien – Hue province jointly organised a relief delegation to visit and present gifts to people affected by storms and floods in Phong Dien district (Thua Thien – Hue).
The delegation presented 300 gifts to poor people and people with disabilities in especially difficult circumstances affected by the recent storms in the two communes of Phong Hoa and Phong Binh (Phong Dien), 150 gifts per commune. Each gift was worth 500,000 VND, including: two cartons of instant noodles, a warm blanket and food items such as sugar, milk and monosodium glutamate, plus 200,000 VND in cash.
These are meaningful gifts, mobilised by the Association for the Protection of Disabled People and Orphans (NTT&TMC) of Vietnam from kind-hearted organisations, units and individuals, to share with and encourage poor people and people with disabilities in Thua Thien – Hue to rise up and stabilise their lives after the storms and floods.
