Taking the phone with his foot, Le Van Hiep (60 years old, living in Vinh Kim commune, Cau Ngang district, Tra Vinh province) bent down and pushed his arm, no longer intact, onto the table to “examine” the item he had just received.
In less than 30 seconds, he looked up and “diagnosed”: “A broken screen cable”. Although he has had disabilities in both arms and legs since childhood, Mr Hiep is a well-known electronics repairman in the locality.
“I know I cannot go to the fields to do heavy work, so I must try to learn a trade. My siblings love me, but everyone has their own life; I cannot be a burden forever, I must rely on myself” – Mr Hiep shared about his earlier decision to learn electronics repair to earn a living.
