Signing ceremony for the cooperation memorandum and introduction of the project “Improving livelihoods and strengthening leadership capacity for women”
On the afternoon of 21 January 2015, at the Sofitel Plaza Hotel, Hanoi, the signing ceremony for the cooperation memorandum and the introduction of the project “Improving livelihoods and strengthening leadership capacity for women” took place between Kenan Institute Asia; the Center for Research and Action for Inclusive Development (IDEA); and the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), which are jointly implementing it.
Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Departments of Health, the Women’s Union, the Association of Young People with Disabilities, the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Hoa Binh and Hanoi, and representatives of non-governmental organisations.
The project aims to build the capacity of social organisations and public organisations (including the leaders and staff of organisations) that support women in health, education, disability and economic development, in order to improve women’s lives and their voice on relevant policy issues.
The project will be implemented in Hanoi and Hoa Binh from January 2015 to September 2016.
