Ms. Hoang Yen – Director of the Disability Research and Capacity Development Center (DRD) shared: “To come together, they have been through many difficulties. These are the barriers faced by people with disabilities, and this wedding is proof of their love. This is only the beginning of a series of difficulties! They must be strong and use their true love to build lasting happiness. This is the third couple to fall in love and marry at DRD, and I hope there will be many more couples and beautiful loves like this one”.

Unable to hold back her emotion on her happy day, Duong Dinh Thao Phuong said in a choked voice: “To have the happiness we have today, my husband and I have received help from many people in society, especially from the DRD centre. Perhaps the most sincere thanks I want to send to everyone is the happy life that Minh Tri and I share”.

The bride pick-up by three-wheeled vehicle is part of the project “Three-wheeled vehicle service for people with disabilities” run by the Disability Research and Capacity Development Center (DRD) since the end of June 2013. Each vehicle was decorated with white – pink balloons and bows, driven by young people with and without disabilities, carrying the “guests”, the two families and friends.
