Newsletter August 2013

Dear readers!
In the brilliant golden colours of the August autumn days, we are reminded of the historic milestone of the August Revolution of 1945 and the Independence Day of the Vietnamese people – 2 September.

The atmosphere grows even livelier, as wherever we go we hear the cheerful sound of school drums preparing for the new school year. Also in August, the whole population is actively taking part in contributing comments on the amendments to the 1992 Constitution, the amendments to the Land Law, and more. People with disabilities also have the right and the duty to take part in contributing to the shared responsibilities of society. Many organisations and associations have been actively taking part in this political activity.

In response to this shared movement, the IDEA Board, together with the Vi Ngay Mai Centre, organised a training course on “Strengthening group management capacity for women with disabilities”. At the same time, the IDEA Board also sent staff to training courses organised by CGFED, CECEM and others, as well as many other workshops and conferences held during the month. The IDEA Board and the Vietnam Disability Forum wish all members good health, joy and success in life.
